Downloading Advise and Guidance
General Information:
Car Manuals Direct Workshop Service Manuals can be downloaded to a Desktop PC, Laptops, Tablets, Smart Phones and iPhones.
- All Car Manuals Direct Workshop Service Manuals are available for immediate download in PDF format (Portable Document Format). PDF's are an easy, reliable way to view documents regardless of the operating systems being used.
- The PDF format is an open standard, maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Today, it is the file format trusted by businesses around the world and can easily be viewed on Windows or MacOS using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software.
- We recommend using Adobe Acrobat Reader to view our Workshop Service Manuals. If you don't have Adobe Reader on your device, it's free and easy to download from the Adobe website or the App Store and Play Store.

Downloading to a Desktop PC or Laptop:
- When placing your order make sure your email address is correct and your inbox is not full. A download link is provided as soon as the checkout process is complete. As a back up we send an order confirmation email containing your download link instantly. If your order confirmation email does not show in your inbox please check your Spam and Junk Mail folders as often emails containing download links are automatically moved to junk or spam folders. This does depend on your email account settings.
- When downloading one of our manuals, click on the link provided once the checkout process is complete (We also send you an email with the link so please be sure to provide a current email address). When you initiate the download, your web browser usually prompts you to select a location where you want to save the file. You can choose a specific folder on your computer, such as your desktop or Download folder or another folder that suits you. Once the download is complete, the file is saved to your device. You can access it whenever you want.
- To download one of our manuals, click on the link provided at the end of the checkout process (We also send you an email with the link so please be sure to provide a current email address). You can usually choose where to save the downloaded files. When you initiate a download, your web browser usually prompts you to select a location where you want to save the file. You can choose a specific folder on your device to keep your downloaded files organized. Once the download is complete, the file is saved to your device. You can access it whenever you want.
Trouble Shooting for Desktop and Laptop Downloads.
- If you can't find the location of the PDF download, click on the 3 dots on the top right of your screen and scroll down the list to Downloads. Click on that and you will see the download. Once you have opened the PDF you can then save it in a suitable place or transfer it to a USB Flash Drive.
- When downloading to a Desktop PC it is unusual to encounter any download issues especially if you are using a fast stable internet connection. Once you have downloaded one of our PDF Manuals, find the download file and click on it. The PDF will open in your PDF Reader (we recommend using Adobe PDF Reader). If a window pops up saying the PDF is damaged or can't open, this was caused by an interruption in your Wi Fi connection while downloading or by a possible power surge or outage. Check your internet connection and if it is working as it should, download the file again. We give you 5 attempts to download the files.
- If you have an unreliable or slow internet connection we suggest using a download manager app. There are a variety available in the App Store or Play Store, many free. By using a download manager app it can speed up your download and should you encounter an interruption with your internet connection it will resume the download when the connection is restored.
- Before downloading one of our PDF Workshop Manuals make sure you know your device and how the functions work. It is your responsibility to know and understand how your device works and how to download PDF files. If you are unsure, please do your own research and learn how to download files. There is a massive amount of information on the subject on Google and You tube.
Downloading to a Smart Devices, Android Phone's, iPhone, Tablet etc.
You can download our PDF files to virtually any modern Tablet, Android Smart Phone or iPhone. The maximum file size that can be downloaded depends on the storage capacity of your device, the available free space, and the file system used.
- Most modern Android phones, iPhones and tablets have file systems that can handle large files (4Gb or larger). All Car Manual Direct files are under 1Gb in size.
- To download one of our workshop manuals, you can use a variety of methods. Here are a few suggestions. Download directly to the device's internal storage or an inserted microSD card, use cloud storage apps like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive or download to a PC and connect the device to the PC using a USB cable and transfer the PDF to your device.
- The download speed and time will depend on the file size, your internet connection, and the device's hardware specifications. Larger files may take longer to download compared to smaller files. As long as your device has enough free storage space, you should be able to successfully download our PDF Workshop Manuals.

Trouble Shooting

- Internet Connection. A weak or unstable internet connection could prevent you from downloading files. Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection to ensure you have a stable internet connection.
- Download Manager. If your device has a pre-installed download manager it could be disabled which would prevent you from downloading files. Check the settings on your device to ensure that the download manager is enabled.
- PDF Reader. You may not have a PDF reader installed on your device. In order to view PDF files, you need to have a PDF reader app. There are many available for free on the app store. We recommend using Adobe Acrobat Reader to view our Workshop Service Manuals.
- Software Updates. If your device’s software is outdated, it may prevent certain functionalities, including file downloads. Ensure that your device’s software is updated to the latest version.
- Consider using download management software to effectively organize and track your downloads. This software often provides features like download scheduling, pause and resume options should there be an interruption to your Wi Fi or mobile data connection while downloading.

Download the file to your PC and transfer the file to a suitable USB Flash Drive with a C Type fitting suitable for your device. Use a separate micro SD card for the PDF file. There are numerous different ways of getting around storage issues and this is up to you, the purchaser to determine the best solution for your needs.
