The Fend design of 3-wheeled bubble car was taken over by Messerschmitt, the former aircraft company in 1953 and built in one of their works. The first model was the KRI75 with a 175cc single-cylinder 2-stroke Sachs engine, which was replaced by a 200cc engine in 1955. This version was built untill962, when production was discontinued.
