HOLDEN COMMODORE VK HISTORY

Holden Commodore VK 1984-1986

The VK Commodore was the fourth version of the Commodore and was introduced in early 1984. A major face lift of the previous model included new grille, white front blinker lenses and full -height polycarbonate bumpers. The new 6-window body style gave the sedans a larger, cleaner appearance.

Holden's new flagship, the Calais (replacing the SL/E) had fluorescent digital readout instrumentation, trip computer, central locking and cruise control, as standard.

The 1.9-litre 4-cylinder and 2850 6-cylinder engines were for export markets only.
