HSV Vehicle Identification

HSV vehicles are identified by a dedicated HSV build plate mounted in the engine compartment. This plate records important vehicle information including the model designation, production build number, paint identification and build date. The HSV build plate allows HSV vehicles to be distinguished from standard Holden Commodore models and provides key identification information when confirming vehicle specification.

HSV Engineering and Development

The HSV VT Series II models were developed using a range of specialised HSV components and engineering upgrades that differ from standard Holden vehicles. These included revised suspension systems, specialised seating and interior fittings, upgraded exhaust systems and distinctive body styling components. These changes were designed to enhance vehicle performance, comfort and overall driving dynamics while maintaining the durability required for high-performance road vehicles.
