BMW Motorcycles history dates back over 100 years. The company began producing motorcycles in 1923, just five years after the end of World War I.
Their first model was the R32, which featured a 494cc flat-twin boxer engine, a design that would become synonymous with BMW motorcycles.
Over the decades, BMW has continued to innovate and push the boundaries of motorcycle engineering. In 1937, they introduced the world's first production motorcycle with a supercharged engine, the R57.
BMW motorcycles have also had great success in motorsports. BMW has won the Paris–Dakar Rally six times, the Superbike World Championship, and European Championships several times.
Some of their most iconic models include the R90S of the 1970s which was one of the fastest production bikes of its time, the groundbreaking four-cylinder K100 in the 1980s, the R1100GS which launched the adventure touring category, and the high-performance S1000RR superbike introduced in 2009.
Throughout their history, BMW has been known for their commitment to quality, precision engineering, and continual innovation.
This has earned them a dedicated following of motorcycle enthusiasts around the world who appreciate BMW's distinctive blend of performance, luxury, and reliability.
