Case Tractors, a subsidiary of CNH Industrial, has history dating back to the mid-19th century. Founded by Jerome Increase Case in Racine, Wisconsin in 1842, the company initially manufactured threshing machines before expanding into the production of steam engines and eventually, tractors.
One of Case's most significant early innovations was the development of the first portable steam engine in 1869, which greatly increased the efficiency and productivity of agricultural operations.
As the company grew, it underwent several mergers and acquisitions, including a merger with New Holland in 1999 to form CNH Global, which later became CNH Industrial.
Throughout its history, Case has been responsible for numerous groundbreaking advancements in tractor technology, such as the introduction of the first diesel-powered tractor in 1927, the first tractor with a cab in 1939, and the first tractor with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) in 1997.
Today, Case Tractors continues to be a leading global manufacturer of agricultural equipment, offering a wide range of tractors, combines, and other machinery designed to meet the needs of modern farmers and help drive agricultural productivity and efficiency around the world.
