The AC Cobra, also known as the Shelby Cobra, is an iconic British-American sports car that was produced in the 1960s.

It was the result of a collaboration between American automotive designer Carroll Shelby and British manufacturer AC Cars. The Cobra combined a lightweight, hand-built aluminum body with a powerful Ford V8 engine, creating a car that offered incredible performance for its time.

The original Cobra was built from 1962 to 1967 and was offered in both small block and big block engine configurations.

The most famous version was the Cobra 427, which was powered by a massive 7.0-liter V8 producing up to 485 horsepower. This allowed the Cobra to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just over 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 165 mph, making it one of the fastest production cars of its era.

Today, original AC Cobras are highly sought-after collectibles that command premium prices at auction. The Cobra's enduring popularity has also spawned countless replicas and kit cars over the years, allowing enthusiasts to experience the thrill of driving one of these legendary machines.
