Holden Commodore Utility VU History

Holden VU Commodore Utility 2000-2002

Released in late 2000, the VU utility series was the VX model ute. It was available in three basic models, Holden Ute, S Ute and SS Ute, plus a variety of limited edition models.

The VU limited-edition models included the SS Fifty released late in 2001 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the first Holden utility (50 -2106) in 1951. The Storm Ute appeared in 2002. A Sandman panel van design concept featuring Mambo graphics was shown at the Sydney and Melbourne Motor Shows in 2002 along with the concept vehicle the UTEster.
